At Alphabet Garden we believe in molding well rounded children and submerging them in various interests and life skills. As important as core subjects are, life is more than just mastering reading and mathematics. We want to give our children every opportunity to explore and learn through real world experiences. At Alphabet Garden children participate in activities such as cooking, gardening, and caring for animals, which create opportunities of learning responsibility that carry forward into their future.

Alphabet Garden boasts two expansive garden beds, giving our children the opportunity to grow and care for both vegetation and flowering plants. Through hard work and patience, they nurture their garden and watch it thrive before their eyes. By the season’s end, they are able to see what their tiny hands helped cultivate. Children learn best when vested in the activity, therefore we strengthen their experiences by tying in these special moments of curiosity, hands-on learning, and scientific study.
Cooking activities also provide opportunities to learn the process of creating, while exposing the children to basic skills such as measuring, weighing, patience, and cooperative collaboration. In addition to caring for our vibrant fish friends in our lobby aquarium, we have opportunities throughout the year to care for various animals such as caterpillars, butterflies, chicks and ducklings. By becoming caretakers of these delicate creatures, the children learn compassion and accountability.
